A happy ending

Susan came to see me because she was unhappy in her marriage, yet did not want to leave her husband. Together we explored the roots of the unhappiness, and she realised that she was once again experiencing many of the uncomfortable feelings she had had as a child - feelings such as being ignored, put upon, undervalued. Through her Emotional Healing sessions, Susan learnt to parent her own inner child with the result that her husband’s behaviour no longer pushed those buttons so strongly. And as she learnt to explain and claim her needs and wants, so her husband responded by changing, just slightly, his behaviour. Above all, though, it wasn’t the external circumstances that changed so much as Susan’s reaction to them…and that is what Emotional Healing is all about.
